our Vintage Boma where our chef will prepare a BIG Free-state braai,

delicious Potjiekos or our chef’s special Boerekos.

You can perhaps choose make your own “potjie” around the fire or surprise

your friends with your own classic cocktail!!

of it! One thing is for sure - you will have fun, and will know and understand

each other better after your visit!!

River Activities Enjoy a day of fun in the son!

Mild to Wild White Water Rafting

This is our most popular white-water rafting trip. It includes the, highest grade rapid, the longest rapid and the best rapids on the Vaal river. Adrenalin packed white water rafting at its best! This trip on the Vaal river starts from Fleet-woods and has rapids like the Gaping Jaws and Paradise where you will be served with a cold-drink, and learn how to surf with a “croc” for a start. This is followed by Dog’s leg, V-Trap and Stepping stones. Up to here it wasn’t very tactical and give you time to get into the feeling of handling the paddle and steer the raft. From Bistro you will enjoy “real” white water, through Theatre (the longest rapid “800meter”) and the one and only “GATSIEN”, where you will be able to play in the rapid with the guides. From here you will paddle through Lovers Lane and Knuckle Crusher down to Dimalachite, after a Great day on the river. We are 20 year in the industry, and because of our great guides who runs the river very professionally. We never had an incident on the river. We supply all safety equipment, and you will enjoy a safety talk before departing from Fleetwoods. We can fit this session in during a morning or afternoon session. More info and videos…    Gate to Dome Paddling and Rafting This stretch is shorter and do not have the same kind of rapids as the “Mild to Wild”. You will paddle through beautiful nature and bird-life. It has one stretch of rapids and then flat water flowing through the Dome World Heritage Site. It covers 3 km in around two and a half hour, and is also great for a “sun downer”.

Relay On Rafts

A GREAT team activity. Each team receive a raft, two paddles and two life jackets. When the whistle blow, they must put on their life jackets, grab the paddles, push the raft into the river and start paddling around an island in front of the camp. The rest of the team shout and motivate them from the side, while the next two paddlers prepare to take over as soon as they beach. The team help to get the next two paddlers dressed and send them on their way with a flying start. The same motivation from the side for each team again. The winner s the team that finish the number of rounds in the relay first. Raft building Each team receive three rafts, planks, poles and ropes with witch they must build a big Raft. Their team Flag must accompany them all the way! When finished building the raft, the team launch it into the river and must push and paddle with their hands to a rondevue on the other side of the river, where they will find two paddles. Following the instructions, they must now paddle to different RVs on the river. The winning team is the team that build the best Raft, work best together as a team and finished first. River Games Relaxed paddling on flat water on the river. During this session teams will play ball games making use of a big ball and their paddles. Splashing etc will occur and they will get whet. At the end each team build a tower with their rafts by stacking them on top of each other. All team members must now be on the raft, and they must paddle it back to the launch site. Teamwork, good communication and planning will help a lot.

Team-building & Leadership Develop a “Kaizin” attitude

Introduction:

A corporate group are always great to work with. They normally have certain skills and a specific personality - therefore they have been identified as leaders. We will consult with the teacher in charge of the group beforehand to determine what the objectives (outcomes) of the camp must be. We will then provide him/her with a specific program that will attend to his/her needs. Activities: We make use of the activities with emphasis on positive participation and leadership. We will for instance appoint a team member as leader during an activity, and all the other team members must be prepared to take over the leadership role at any time. This will force everyone to participate in the planning, listen to all options and to other participants insets during the planning, be active during execution and to know exactly how the activity must be executed. Some students may for instance be blindfolded, and his “friend” must lead him/her through an activity. This will force clear communication from the leader. Sessions in conference hall: Sometimes the teachers wants to conduct conference sessions with the group where they discuss for instance the school’s rules, disciplinary procedures and specific duties they need from the leaders etc. We will provide enough time for that in the itinerary if requested. We can also conduct leadership sessions where our professional facilitator handle specific subjects, for instance: - Leadership identification - Leaders makes a difference - The best leaders listen carefully - What type of leader are you You are welcome to provide us with specific subjects (outcomes) to be handled by the facilitator. White Water Rafting: A camp must be unforgettable, and what can be a better way to conclude a camp with a great adventurous White Water Rafting. The students love it and enjoy themselves tremendously. They will show the photos to everyone, as it will make their camp. This activity will bring them closer together - it will bond the group in a positive manner. Potjiekos competition: This is a great team activity. Some team members will do the potjie while others are decorating the table. We provide all the raw ingredients. Our facilitators will be judges, and will announce the winning team.

Golf ball Challenge:

Teamwork, communication, planning & Patience

The team members each get a half pipe in which a golf ball will roll. The goal is to get the ball from point A to point B without dropping or touching the ball, once the ball is with you, you are not allowed to walk with it and after you passed the ball on to the next person you have to run to the front of the line in order to extend the channel the ball has to roll in. 4x4 Slides - Teamwork: Communication, planning & Patience A pair of planks with space for five people is given to each team. The ropes attached to the plank provides each person something to hold on to while they attempt to walk from the start to the finish lines. Exact co- ordination (teamwork) is required to achieve this.

Frog Islands:

Leadership, planning, communication & teamwork

The team has to get from point A to point B by means of ranging planks on pedestals placed strategic distances away from each other. The planks, cut to specific lengths are provided to join these pedestals, and the team must work out the right sequence of placing the planks. One team member might be blind folded at any time so teamwork, planing and communication is essential. To increase the difficulty, participants may also be blindfolded and guided by other team members Toxic Waste: Planning, Teamwork & Communication Teams each receives a number of different lengths of rope and bungy cord, with witch they need to retrieve a bucket of  water in the middle of a “TOXIC” square. the ropes are to short to use individually, careful planing and teamwork is required. Mine Field: Leadership, team work & communication One team member is blind folded and has to be guided through a course filled with obstacles by a team member, that is only allowed to stand at the finish line. No obstacles are allowed to be touched. Fill the pipe: Team work, planning & communication The team receive a few lengths of pipe with a number of holes in each section. They must figure out how to fix the sections together to minimise water loss. Some team members must now try to close - by any means - as much holes as possible white the other members try to fill the pipe with buckets of water retrieved from the nearby river. In the pipe is a ball, and the team that fills the pipe until the ball falls out of the pipe is the winning team. Chicken Toss: Planning, teamwork, fun & competition This is a catapult game where the competitors have to flick an obstacle into a crate on top of a tripod structure by stepping down onto the opposite side of the plank. you need to control the amount of power you put into your step and your aim is critical.
